Dialogue on African Development and the Digital Economy
Dialogue on African Development and the Digital Economy

The scale, spread and speed of change brought about by digital technology is unprecedented, offering major opportunities as well as core challenges.

Africa is already tapping into the possibilities created by digitalization and the mobile revolution. At the same time, it is also the region that lags most behind in terms of the ability to engage in and benefit from e-commerce and the digital economy.

Recognizing this important inflection point, there is an urgent need to both gather and reflect on the insight, perspective and wisdom of key figures.

How can we ensure that the evolving digital economy brings inclusive development in Africa rather than wider inequalities and divides?

In the lead up to the first ever Africa eCommerce Week, we put this question to a range of leaders and experts in the areas of digital economy and economic and social development in Africa.
