Key Issues

The Commission will provide an opportunity for member States and investment and development stakeholders to discuss key and emerging issues in the area of investment and enterprise and their implications for sustainable development, as well as policy solutions.

This year’s session will consider the reports and discuss the outcome and recommendations of its expert meetings under agenda item 3 (a)(i) on Investment for Development, (ii) Enterprise Development Policies and Capacity-building in Science, Technology and Innovation and (iii) International Cooperation: South–South Cooperation and Regional Integration on their fourth sessions.

The Commission will also consider the reports of the twenty-eighth and twenty-ninth sessions of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting.

In addition, the Commission will examine and wrap up progress in the implementation of the mandates received in Accra and Doha by the secretariat, identifying areas in which synergies have been achieved among the three pillars.
