 asures (NTMs) reporting mechanism

DESCRIPTION:Often\, companies\, in particular\, small and medium size enter
 prises (SMEs)\, face challenges in reporting their perceived trade obstacl
 es due to lack of adequate communication channels\, lack of trust in the s
 ystem for resolution of reported claims\, among other factors. This Worksh
 op will gather together key private and public sector stakeholders with th
 e aim of:Raising awareness on the existing channels through which companie
 s can report their trade obstacles.Stock take on the views and proposals f
 rom the private sector\, especially SMEs for designing a channel and mecha
 nism for effectively communicating and addressing their trade concerns.The
  discussion will be facilitated by UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to pr
 oduce a joint proposal on “Strategy for Private Sector for NTM Reporting
  Mechanism” which will be presented to the relevant public institutions 
 after the workshop. The workshop will be interactive to stimulate exchangi
 ng ideas and recommendations on a potential channel for the reporting and 
 institutional framework for the resolution of the trade obstacles business
 es are facing.The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the voice of 
 the private sector\, especially SMEs\, to be heard by the relevant public 
 institutions and enhance the channels of communication and resolution of t
 rade claims.The workshop will be held in Romanian and English. Simultaneou
 s translation will be provided from English into Romanian and vice versa.&
