Going beyond mitigation: how can private sector drive biodiversity conservation?

​The event presented views, experiences and best-practice examples on how companies are effectively managing biodiversity issues related to their supply chains including: sustainable management practices, benefit sharing, product development and innovation, technology transfer, public-private partnerships, incentives measures and education and awareness building initiatives.

The event also marked the launching of the book "Medicinal and aromatic plants of Madagascar -Inventory of the plants of the Vohimana Forest"recognizing the traditional knowledge of local communities in order to protect it from biopiracy.
