The first High-Level meeting on the Creative Economy component under the EU-UNCTAD Joint Programme for Angola: Train for Trade II, will be organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MINDCOM) on 18 May 2020.

The Creative Economy Component under the Train for Trade II Programme focuses on enhancing the economic potential of cultural and creative industries in Angola for employment, trade and development gains.

The High-Level Meeting will bring together representatives of the Government of the Republic of Angola, the European Union and UNCTAD. The aim of the meeting is to present the Creative Economy component of the Train for Trade II programme, its structure, phasing and technical team, as well as to collect contributions from the different government agencies and to agree on the next stages of the joint inter-ministerial and cross-agency work plan.

Results

In the High-Level Meeting on Creative Economy, the Creative Economy component’s strategy and workplan were presented and discussed with the key implementing partners at the national level. The Secretaries of State, Directors and delegates present in the meeting agreed on the next steps to be taken and decided to designate focal points in each Ministry and Agency involved in the component’s delivery, with a view to ensuring comprehensive and efficient participation and implementation.

A primeira reunião de Alto Nível sobre a componente da Economia Criativa no âmbito do Programa Conjunto UE-UNCTAD para Angola: Train for Trade II, será organizada em colaboração com o Ministério da Indústria e Comércio (MINDCOM), 18 de maio de 2020.

A Componente de Economia Criativa do Programa Train for Trade II concentra-se em aumentar o potencial econômico das indústrias culturais e criativas em Angola para obter ganhos de emprego, comércio e desenvolvimento.

A reunião de Alto Nível reunirá representantes do Governo da República de Angola, da União Europeia e da UNCTAD. O objetivo da reunião é apresentar a componente da Economia Criativa do Programa Train for Trade II, sua estrutura, fases e equipe técnica, assim como coletar contribuições dos diferentes órgãos governamentais e chegar a acordo sobre as próximas etapas da cooperação conjunta inter-ministerial e entre as agências.

Resultados

Na reunião de Alto Nível sobre a Economia Criativa, a estratégia e o plano de trabalho da componente da Economia Criativa foram apresentados e discutidos com os principais parceiros de implementação no nível nacional. Os Secretários de Estado, Diretores e delegados presentes na reunião concordaram com as próximas etapas a serem tomadas e decidiram designar pontos focais em cada Ministério e Agência envolvidos na entrega da componente, com vistas a garantir uma participação e implementação abrangentes e eficientes.

Uma reunião de Alto Nível sobre a Economia Criativa foi realizada (com links de vídeo) 18 de maio de 2020, para apresentar a componente da Economia criativa, e para discutir e formar consenso sobre as próximas etapas.

The meeting included the Secretaries of State for Trade; Culture; Tourism; Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation; Technical and Professional Education; Telecommunications and Information Technology, as well as Director of National Institute of Statistics; ACOM Project Focal Point; European Union Delegation in Angola and UNCTAD.

A reunião incluiu os Secretários de Estado do Comércio; Cultura; Turismo; Ensino Superior, Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação; Educação Técnica e Profissional; Telecomunicações e Tecnologia da Informação, Diretor do Instituto Nacional de Estatística; Ponto focal do projeto ACOM; Delegação da União Europeia em Angola e UNCTAD.
