The Commission on Science and Technology for Development will hold its 2021–2022 intersessional panel meeting with physical and remote participation from 14:30 - 16:30 hrs. each day.
The panel will address the following two priority themes:
- Theme 1: Industry 4.0 for inclusive development
- Theme 2: Science, technology and innovation for sustainable urban development in a post-pandemic world
The Commission will also review progress made in the implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society.
The findings and recommendations of the panel will be considered at the twenty-fifth session of the Commission in 2022.
Participation and registration
Participants will include representatives from national Governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society. Representatives of other organizations, including non-governmental organizations in the general and special categories, should hold consultative status with the Economic and Social Council or have received accreditation from the World Summit on the Information Society.
Logistics
The meeting will be held with physical participation, in room XIX of the Palais des Nations, and remote participation, through a simultaneous interpretation platform in the six official languages of the United Nations.
A link to the formal virtual meeting will be sent to registered participants, at the email address used for registration, one day in advance of the start of the meeting.
To facilitate the approval of registration, permanent missions should confirm the list of participating delegates by means of a note verbale or by email by 10 November 2021.
