UNCTAD-UAE workshop on key issues in international investment agreements

The objective of this workshop is to strengthen the capacity of United Arab Emirates (UAE) negotiators and policymakers to effectively negotiate Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs) and investment chapters within Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs). The workshop will explore strategies to align the UAE’s international investment commitments with global best practices while supporting the nation’s broader economic and developmental goals. The workshop will form part of a wider partnership project between UNCTAD and the UAE on issues relating to IIAs and ISDS.
