In an interconnected w orld predicated largely on a linear economic model\, India’s development faces resource challenges and negative externalities – yet this scenari o is not inevitable\, and many opportunities can be derived from adopting a value-preserving model.\n\nTaking these factors into account this report specifically looks at the opportunities that a circular economy can bring to India.\n\nThe report offers insights based on extensive desk research\ , expert interviews and expert input events in India with participants fro m businesses\, government\, universities\, NGOs and other organisations. U NCTAD contributed to the report as a knowledge partner.\n\nA high-level ec onomic analysis has been carried out to show potential benefits of followi ng a circular development path for the Indian economy\, environment and ci tizens.
