DESCRIPTION:The Hearing with Civil Society provides a platform for UNCTAD m
 anagement and delegates from our member states to engage with representati
 ves of civil society.\n\nThe Hearing will focus on the following topics:\n
 \n\n\nNew ways in which the United Nations could address the crisis of mul
 tilateralism and trade\, its development machinery\, and what would be the
  contribution of UNCTAD\n\n\nIndustrial policies and productive capacity p
 olicies for a digital economy\n\n\nPlugging financial leakages\, mobilizin
 g domestic and international resources to deliver the SDGs\n\n\nBuilding r
 esilience to multiple shocks affecting people and sustainable development\
 n\n\n\nThese topics have been chosen because they will lead the high-level
  discussions at the annual meeting of UNCTAD&#039\;s Trade and Developmen
 t Board (4-12 June)\, which oversees our work between the ministerial conf
 erences.\n \n\nParticipation\n\nThe hearing is open to staff of the Unite
 d Nations\, delegates of UNCTAD member states\, and representatives of civ
 il society organizations that:\n\n\nHave observer statuswith UNCTAD\nWere
  accredited toUNCTAD 14\nHave consultative statuswith ECOSOC\n\n\nIf you
 r organization does not fit into any of these categories\, but has been ac
 tive in our work – for example\, you have been a panelist at an UNCTAD m
 eeting\, or your organization has a Memorandum of Understanding with UNCTA
 D or has organized an event with us  – you are welcome to register but 
 must provide the relevant information.\n\nOnline registration is mandatory
