DESCRIPTION:In line with the agreed conclusions adopted by the Intergovernm
 ental Group of Experts at its seventeenth session (TD/B/C.I/CLP/52) on 13 
 July 2018\, the consultations at the eighteenth session of the Intergovern
 mental Group of Experts will focus on the following topics:\n\n\n\nWork ca
 rried out by the discussion group on international cooperation\n\n\nCompet
 ition issues in the digital economy\n\n\nCompetition issues in the health 
 sector\, specifically looking into pharmaceuticals and health-care service
 s\n\n\nInternational cooperation of competition authorities in the fight a
 gainst cross-border anticompetitive practices and mergers\n\n\nVoluntary p
 eer reviews of competition law and policy\n\n\nCapacity-building and techn
 ical assistance activities in competition law and policy carried out to da
 te\n\n\nReview of chapters IX and X of the Model Law on Competition\n\n\n\
 nWritten contributions\n\nIn order to facilitate the deliberations and the
  informal exchange of experiences and best practices on the topics to be d
 iscussed\, member States and observers are requested to submit written con
 tributions to the UNCTAD secretariat by Friday\, 31 May 2019\, to allow pa
 rticipants to prepare for the session.\n\nParticipation\n\nThis meeting is
  open to all member States of UNCTAD. Other organizations\, including spec
 ialized agencies\, intergovernmental bodies and non-governmental organizat
 ions in the general category\, may participate as observers.\n&lt\;p&gt\;I
