DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin UNCTAD\, Afrodyssée and designer Shade Affogbolo for 
 a celebration of fashion\, sustainability and #WomensDay.\n\nThe purpose o
 f this year&#039\;s celebration of International Women&#039\;s Day at UNCT
 AD is to advance our understanding of the relationship between Voluntary S
 ustainability Standards\, sustainable development\, women&#039\;s empowerm
 ent and trade.\n\nIt will provide the opportunity to listen to a number of
  testimonials\, learn about the development of the sustainability label Af
 rodyssée and assist to a fashion show of clothing and accessories designe
 d by Shade Affogbolo and produced according to sustainability practices. A
 ll participants will be invited to a reception to celebrate together Inter
 national Women&#039\;s Day.\n\nThere are at present over 200 Voluntary Sus
 tainability Standards (VSS) worldwide. Their goal is to create win-win sit
 uations by reconciling environmental\, social\, and economic policy object
 ives. Many developing countries\, however\, remain uncertain about the rea
 l effectiveness of these instruments towards meeting the Sustainable Devel
 opment Goals\, including SDG 5 on gender equality and women&#039\;s empowe
