 e technologies.\n\nEvery year\, the commission has two priority themes. Fo
 r the twenty-fourth session\, these are:\n\n\nUsing science\, technology a
 nd innovation to close the gap on Sustainable Development Goal 3\, on good
  health and well-being.\nHarnessing blockchain for sustainable development
 : prospects and challenges.\n\n\nThe twenty-fourth session will also revie
 w the progress made in the implementation of the outcomes of the World Sum
 mit on the Information Society (WSIS).\n\nParticipants will include minist
 ers and representatives of governments\, civil society\, the business comm
 unity\, academia and international and regional organizations. Most member
  states will be represented by high-level delegations.\n\nLogistics\n\nThe
  session will be conducted through a remote simultaneous interpretation pl
 atform with the six official languages of the United Nations. A link to th
 e formal virtual meeting will be sent to registered participants\, at the 
 email address used for registration\, one day in advance of the start of t
