DESCRIPTION:Context\n\nIn the aftermath of COVID-19\, African countries wil
 l need to intensify their resource mobilization efforts to achieve the 203
 0 Sustainable Development Agenda. UNCTAD’s new research adopts a multi-d
 isciplinary methodology to tackle the relationship between illicit financi
 al flows (IFFs) and the economic\, social and environmental dimensions of 
 sustainable development in Africa. Its inclusive approach integrates a gen
 der lens and gives voice to multiple vantage points\, from civil society t
 o firms doing business in Africa. Building on established measures of IFFs
 \, new insights are provided on country estimates of export misinvoicing o
 n the continent and highlights specific characteristics of mineral commodi
 ties.\n\nObjective\n\nThis Virtual High-level Panel Discussion aims to equ
 ip African governments with knowledge on how to identify and evaluate risk
 s associated with IFFs\, as well as solutions to curb IFFs and redirect th
 e proceeds towards the achievement of national priorities and the Sustaina
