 P/CONF.9/9)\, held on 19–23 October 2020\, the deliberations at the fift
 h session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts will focus on the foll
 owing topics:\n\n\nReport on the implementation of the United Nations guid
 elines for consumer protection by member States and relevant stakeholders\
 ;\nLatest developments in legal and institutional frameworks: UNCTAD world
  consumer protection map\;\nReport of the working groups on consumer produ
 ct safety: modalities for the prevention of cross-border distribution of u
 nsafe consumer products and on consumer protection in electronic commerce\
 ;\nReport of the working group on modalities of UNCTAD voluntary peer revi
 ews of competition and consumer protection law and policy\;\nConsumer prot
 ection needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged consumers in connection with 
 public utilities\;\nConsumer law\, policy and regulatory actions in respon
 se to and in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic\;\nVoluntary peer revi
 ew on consumer protection law and policy: Chile\;\nReview of capacity-buil
 ding on and technical assistance in consumer protection law and policy\;\n
 Provisional agenda for the sixth session of the Intergovernmental Group of
  Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy\;\nAdoption of the report o
 f the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Consumer 
 Protection Law and Policy\n\n\nWritten contributions\n\nIn order to facili
 tate the deliberations and the informal exchange of experiences and best p
 ractices on the topics to be discussed\, member States and observers are r
 equested to submit written contributions to the UNCTAD secretariat by Frid
 ay\, 4 June 2021\, to allow participants to prepare themselves for the mee
 ting.\n\nParticipation\n\nThis meeting is open to all member States of UNC
 TAD. Other organizations\, including specialized agencies\, intergovernmen
 tal bodies and non-governmental organizations in the general category may
