sitive manner.\n\n\nThe expert meeting will:\n\n\nDiscuss the impact of tr
ade policies on gender by presenting cases where trade liberalization has
been associated with rising employment and entrepreneurial opportunities f
or women\, as well as cases where trade liberalization has exacerbated exi
sting gender inequalities and worsened women´s economic and social status
.\n \nOffer a forum where different stakeholders including the members of
the United Nations Task Force on Gender and Trade may exchange experience
s and present the main findings of their relevant work.\n \nProvide the o
pportunity to discuss relevant strategies to make trade policies more resp
onsive to gender considerations. Within this context\, specific policies a
nd instruments will be analysed and their possible implementation at the n
 ational\, regional and/or multilateral levels will be discussed.\n \nPres
