DESCRIPTION:\nContext and objectives\n\nThe Division for Africa\, Least Dev
 eloped Countries and Special Programmes of UNCTAD is currently preparing t
 he Bangladesh Vulnerability Profile. In the context of the graduation proc
 ess of Bangladesh\, the Division has had a long-standing\, strong and prod
 uctive relationship collaborating with the Government in preparing the Gen
 eral Assembly-mandated Vulnerability Profile for Bangladesh and looks forw
 ard to accompany the country throughout its graduation process.\n\nUNCTAD 
 would like to host an online (WebEx) short technical working meeting with 
 a few officials in the Government of Bangladesh on the revised Vulnerabili
 ty Profile. This will create an opportunity for UNCTAD to discuss with rep
 resentatives of Bangladesh some of the emerging findings from the Vulnerab
 ility Profile before it is submitted to the Committee for Development Poli
 cy (CDP) for wider circulation.\n\nThis will be a small working (technical
 ) meeting between a few UNCTAD staff that have been working on the Vulnera
 bility Profile and some officials in the Government of Bangladesh on 12 No
 vember 2020.\n\nThe vulnerability profile casts light on the extent to whi
 ch pre-qualification from graduation is synonymous with genuine progress o
 n structural economic transformation\, a necessary condition for fairness 
 in the decision to reclassify a country. A sound assessment of structural 
 progress (or lack thereof) will not only guide the Committee for Developme
 nt Policy’s graduation assessment for the country\, it will also increas
 e the awareness of key relevant issues in Bangladesh and what to do to add
 ress them in the future.\n\nParticipation and organizational arrangements 
 \n\nThe working meeting will be attended by relevant stakeholders in Bangl
 adesh’s Government and represent different sectoral actors among others\
 , identified by the Government.\n\nThe working meeting will be held on 12 
 November 2020 from 16:00 to 17:30 hrs.\, Dhaka time (11:00 to 12:30 hrs\, 
 Geneva time) under virtual modalities\, via WebEx.\n\nThe working language
  of the meeting/ webinar will be English.\n\n&lt\;div class=&quot\;tab-pan
