DESCRIPTION:The event will launch the joint publication by UNCTAD and the 
 Enhanced Integrated Framework\, entitled &quot\;Trade and Gender Linkages:
  An analysis of least developed countries&quot\;. It will provide the opp
 ortunity for a high-level debate on how to make trade contribute to women&
 #039\;s economic empowerment in the LDCs. By discussing the links betwee
 n trade policy and inclusive development\, and by gathering new ideas\, le
 ssons and country perspectives on these issues\, the event will provide u
 seful insights for the UNCTAD15 ministerial conference&#039\;s debate on v
 ulnerability and inequality\, and will support the process of identifying 
 transformative approaches to trade and development.Questions for discussio
 nWhat  are the gender implications of the transition from subsistence far
 ming to commercialization and agricultural exports?How has trade liberaliz
 ation impacted women’s and men’s employment in extractive sectors?What
  are the features of the “feminization of labour” in the manufacturing

 grants from the LDCs benefit from the globalization of the care economy?Wh
