DESCRIPTION:Affordable and sustainable external debt financing is a core re
 quirement to achieve structural transformation in developing countries\, a
 nd to meet the 2030 Agenda.\n\nThis webinar will be to examine the differe
 nt policy options to reform the international financial and debt architect
 ure\, at both market-based and multilateral levels\, to promote comprehens
 ive\, effective and equitable sovereign debt restructurings and relief\, a
 s well as sound sovereign debt markets that can pro-actively support susta
 inable and inclusive development.\n\nGuiding questions for panelists:\n\n\
 nWhat are the advantages and shortcomings of existing arrangements for deb
 t financing\, debt relief and for sovereign debt restructuring? This would
  include:\n\nContractual market-based improvements (such as enhanced colle
 ctive action clauses in sovereign bond contracts)\nExisting multilateral s
 olutions\, particularly the G20’s Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DS
 SI) and its Common Framework for Debt Treatments beyond the DSSI.\n\n\nGiv
 en your professional and/or academic experience\, what are your priorities
  for a reform of the international financial and debt architecture?\nWhich
  are the different ways of mobilizing support for the establishment of a g
 lobal\, consensus-based and inclusive multilateral framework for debt trea
 tment and restructuring?\nHow can UNCTAD\, international financial institu
 tions and other United Nations system entities promote relevant reform pro
