DESCRIPTION:Within the framework of the UN Development Account Project on S
 trengthening Social Protection for Pandemic Responses: Identifying the Vul
 nerable\, Aiding Recovery and Building Resilience\, the United Nations Con
 ference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in cooperation with the Deutsche
  Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the Depar
 tment of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines is responding to the 
 COVID-19 crisis by co-organizing a regional dialogue on consumer and socia
 l protection policies in the provision of health services including digita
 l/e-health.\n\nThis event will provide an opportunity to present and discu
 ss recommendations from an UNCTAD report on the role of consumer protectio
 n policies in the provision of health services and e-health.\n\nThis inter
 active event will prioritise sharing experiences and best practices that h
 ave emerged during this crisis among representatives and officials of Mini
 stries of Health as well as Consumer Protection Authorities in the Asia Pa
 cific and Western Pacific regions.\n\nThis is an invitation-only event.\n\
