DESCRIPTION:Investment and climate change\n\nClimate change is a systemic r
 isk for the world and the need for investment in climate change mitigation
  and adaptation is enormous.\n\nThe UNCTAD World Investment Report 2022: I
 nternational Tax Reforms and Sustainable Investment shows that investment 
 in climate change mitigation\, particularly in renewable energy\, is boomi
 ng but most of it remains in developed economies and adaptation investment
  continues to lag well behind.\n\nIn the current context\, this is particu
 larly worrying as emerging indicators tend to point to a possible setback 
 in the energy transition\, with increased fossil fuel production in countr
 ies previously committed to reducing emissions.\n\nResponding to the renew
 ed call made by member States at the fifteenth session of the United Natio
 ns Conference on Trade and Development (TD/541/Add.2\, paragraph 127 (ll))
 \, the Multi-year Expert Meeting on Investment\, Innovation and Entreprene
 urship for Productive Capacity-building and Sustainable Development will i
 dentify and discuss best practice investment policies that can contribute 
 to the attainment of the climate and environmental goals of the 2030 Agend
 a for Sustainable Development.\n\nContributed papers:\n\nExperts are encou
 raged to prepare and submit brief papers (maximum 10 pages) related to the
 ir studies\, findings and/or national experiences.\n\nThese papers will be
  made available at the meeting in the form and language in which they are 
 received.\n&lt\;h3 class=&quot\;text-align-center\n\nView meeting on uncta
