DESCRIPTION:The Commission on Science and Technology for Development will h
 old its 2022-2023 inter-sessional panel meeting with physical and remote p
 articipation on 25-26 October 2022\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.
 m. each day. \n\nThe panel will address the following two priority themes:
 \n\n\nTheme 1: Technology and innovation for cleaner and more productive a
 nd competitive production\nTheme 2: Ensuring safe water and sanitation for
  all: a solution by science\, technology and innovation\n\n\nThe Commissio
 n will also review progress made in the implementation of the outcomes of 
 the World Summit on the Information Society.\n\nThe findings and recommend
 ations of the panel will be considered at the twenty-sixth session of the 
 Commission in 2023.\n\nParticipation and registration\n\nParticipants will
  include representatives from national Governments\, international organiz
 ations\, the private sector and civil society. Representatives of other or
 ganizations\, including non-governmental organizations in the general and 
 special categories\, should hold consultative status with the Economic and
  Social Council or have received accreditation from the World Summit on th
 e Information Society.\n\nLogistics\n\nThe meeting will be held with physi
 cal participation in the Palais des Nations and remote participation.\n\nT
 o facilitate the approval of registration\, permanent missions should conf
 irm the list of participating delegates by means of a note verbale or by e
 mail by 17 October 2022.\n\nThe meeting will be conducted in English only.
