DESCRIPTION:UNCTAD and the Commission of the Economic Community of West Af
 rican States (ECOWAS) are organising a Private Sector Consultative Meeting
  on the ECOWAS E-commerce Strategy.  \n\nThis activity will be implemente
 d in collaboration with the Federation of West African Chamber Commerce an
 d Industry (FEWACCI)\, Federation of West African Employers&#039\; Organis
 ations (FOPAO)\; Federation of Businesswomen Entrepreneurs (FEBWE)\; and F
 ederation of West African Manufacturers Associations (FEWAMA). \n\nThis i
 s the first regional meeting for the private sector held within the contex
 t of the Regional E-commerce Strategy Development Project in ECOWAS. Prior
  to this\, consultations with the private sector took place through nation
 al consultations\, the results of which are reflected in the ECOWAS Region
 al eTrade Readiness Assessment. The meeting aims to:\n\n\nPresent the resu
 lts of the Regional eTrade Readiness Assessment for ECOWAS\, and the resul
 ting strategic orientations for the E-commerce Strategy\,\nGather feedback
  from the private sector on cross-border e-commerce opportunities and chal
 lenges in the region\,\nImprove the understanding of stakeholders on the s
 cope and purpose of the ECOWAS E-Commerce Strategy\, and\nStrengthen publi
 c-private sector dialogue on e-commerce in the region.\n\n\nThe Regional E
 -commerce Strategy Development project in ECOWAS is supported by the Gover
 nment of the Netherlands as part of the UNCTAD’s eT Ready Implementation
  Support Mechanism (ISM).\n&lt\;p&gt\;UNCTAD and the Commission of the&amp
 \;nbsp\;Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are organising 
 a Private Sector Consultative Meeting on the ECOWAS E-commerce Strategy. &
 amp\;nbsp\;&lt\;/p&gt\;\n\n&lt\;p&gt\;This activity will be implemented in
