 se Business Sustainability and SDG Reporting in Africa and Latin America&q
 uot\;.\n\nThe objective of the meeting was to define the role of the commi
 ttee\, validate it\, confirm the structure of the group executive manageme
 nt\, develop a meeting calendar\, and validate the list of activities iden
 tified.\n\nThe steering committee&#039\;s proposed objectives are split in
 to two prominent functions\, substantial and operational. The substantial 
 one includes the coordination between government agencies and other releva
 nt parties to provide stronger cooperation with international organization
 s\; including advising the regulators on the adoption and implementation o
 f the upcoming ISSB Standards at the national level as well as the adoptio
 n of the objectives of the action plan to establishing national strategies
  for SDG and Sustainability Reporting. The operational role focuses more o
 n the coordinating work of the operational working groups. The committee w
 ill also monitor the implementation progress against the action plan\; org
 anize annual meetings for the working groups and set annual targets to ens
 ure the overall objectives are attained. The participation and commitment 
 of all the stakeholders is critical for the successful implementation of t
