DESCRIPTION:This side-event will update heads of National statistical offic
 es (NSOs) and other participants of the 54th session of the United Nations
  Statistical Commission (UNSC) on progress and challenges regarding the me
 asurement of South-South Cooperation (SSC)\, as part of the new Sustainabl
 e Development Goals (SDG) indicator 17.3.1 on ‘additional financial reso
 urces mobilized for developing countries from multiple sources’ and its
  methodology adopted by the UNSC in March 2022.\n\nThanks to the joint eff
 orts of the South\, now for the first time there is a global\, voluntary C
 onceptual Framework to Measure South-South Cooperation. The framework supp
 orts national efforts of interested countries to measure both financial an
 d in-kind South-South cooperation flows and inform the SDG indicator with 
 comparable data.\n\nUNCTAD is organizing this side-event as part of its ro
 le to coordinate future testing and refinement of the framework\, and glob
 al reporting and capacity building based on it. The work will be carried o
 ut under the leadership of Southern countries relying on country-owned mec
 hanisms.\n&lt\;p&gt\;This side-event will update heads of National statist
