The issues underscored in subparagraphs 127 (aa)\, (kk) and (mm) of the Bridgetown Covenant will also be addressed.\n\nThe main a ssumption is that this transition can only be accomplished by building ind ustrial capacity in developing countries and promoting structural transfor mation of their economies in order to achieve economic diversification\, e mployment creation and technological catch-up.\n\nParticular issues to be addressed include the enabling conditions at the global level\, domestic c hallenges for a successful structural transformation\, regional aspects of building green industrial capacities\, and the link between green industr ial policy and financing the green transition.\n\nExperts are expected to bring to the meeting their own perspectives and to highlight specific issu es in connection with their areas of expertise.\n\nContributed Papers\n\nE xperts are encouraged to prepare and submit brief papers (5-12 pages) rela ted to one or more of the issues to be discussed.\n\nThese papers will be made available at the meeting in the form and language in which they are r eceived.\n\nParticipation\n\nThis meeting is open to all member States of UNCTAD. Other organizations\, including specialized agencies\, intergovern mental bodies and non-governmental organizations in the general and specia l categories\, as well as academia\, research institutions and the private sector\, may participate as observers.\n\nRegistration\n\nOnline registra tion is mandatory for all those wishing to attend the meeting and is requi red in order to be included in the list of participants.\n\nLogistics\n\nT hose who cannot attend the meeting in person will be able to listen to the live audio stream.
