DESCRIPTION:The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
  has a project promoting technology assessment (TA) in the energy and agri
 cultural sectors in Africa to accelerate progress in science\, technology 
 and innovation. The project has recently gained momentum as the three coun
 tries have formed and two have convened their steering committee and exper
 t group.\n\nIn preparation for the in-person workshop in South Africa\, th
 is virtual event provides an opportunity to take stock of the work underta
 ken so far and to share experiences on the project implementation\, the ch
