DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of the activities of the Facilitation of 
 transit\, transport and trade in West Africa for better value chain partic
 ipation project. The event has been organized in close collaboration with 
 the National Implementation Unit of Togo under the Enhanced Integrated Fra
 mework.\n\nThe workshop presents the status of activities undertaken in To
 go and its implementation.\n\nIt also presents the findings and recommenda
 tions of the study on the convergence of legal framework for road transpor
 t and transit that has been shared with the Ministry of Transport and rela
 ted stakeholders\, including customs representatives\, transport associati
 ons\, and the Ministry of Commerce\, etc. The consultations with national 
 authorities aimed at serving as a framework to carry out reforms of the le
 gal framework on cross-border transport issues among Togo\, Benin\, Burkin
 a Faso and Niger.\n\nAn in-depth analysis of a new additional Act elaborat
 ed by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to create a C
 ommon Transit System (système de transit communautaire) has been carried 
 out. The consultations held during the workshop aim at identifying the pos
 sible ways and means to ensure its effective implementation by the benefic
 iary countries. In addition\, the analysis contains concrete proposals aim
 ing at integrating progress and implementation within the framework of the
  SIGMAT program and the introduction of a mechanism for the management of 
 transit guarantees.\n&lt\;p style=&quot\;text-align: justify\;\n\nView mee
