 erence on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the Young Scholars Initiative
  (YSI) of the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) are hosting thei
 r 6th Annual Summer School from 28-31 August\, 2023. The school will take 
 a hybrid format this year\, bringing a small group of participants togethe
 r in-person\, and allowing others to join the lectures and discussions onl
 ine:Finance\, Growth and Distribution: Policy Challenges in a World of Cas
 cading CrisesUnder the shared premise that no country alone can address th
 e multiple challenges posed by intertwining and intensifying economic\, so
 cial and environmental crises\, this year’s lectures will discuss prospe
 cts and obstacles for a green and equitable transformation of the global e
 conomy. It will highlight the constraints and vulnerabilities faced\, in p
 articular\, by developing and emerging economies\, related to weak economi
 c structures\, market asymmetries\, and exposure to financial shocks. The 
 lectures will focus on the distributional implications of a “business as
  usual” approach as well as consider alternative inclusive\, and develop
 ment-friendly strategies.Certificate of AttendanceTo qualify for a certifi
