DESCRIPTION:The high-level event is part of the ongoing work of UNCTAD in s
 upport of Kenya in fostering the country’s economy-wide productive capac
 ities and structural economic transformation.The Holistic Productive Capac
 ities Development Programme for Kenya builds on evidence-based and data-dr
 iven assessments using the Productive Capacities Index (PCI) and a closer 
 examination of Kenya’s policy\, institutional\, and regulatory framework
 s\, which provided the basis for formulating the National Productive Capac
 ities Gap Assessment (NPCGA) for Kenya.The Holistic Programme is designed 
 to tap the comparative advantages of the country and relieve the key bindi
 ng constraints to its development as articulated in the NPCGA.ObjectiveThe
  event is devoted to a high-level exchange of views on the sequencing and 
 technical implementation of the Holistic Productive Capacities Development
  Programme for Kenya\, which results from a careful assessment of the coun
 try’s gaps and limitations in fostering productive capacities and struct
 ural economic transformation.The aim is to exchange views on the way forwa
 rd in sequencing and operationalizing the key pillars of the Programme and
  its contribution to achieving the objectives of Kenya Vision 2030\, the c
 ountry’s long-term development strategy and to ensure the inclusive\, su
 stainable\, and green development of Kenya.Participants will include senio
 r government officials\, senior United Nations officials\, representatives
  of development partners based in Kenya\, national\, regional\, and intern
 ational experts in the field of economic development and representatives o
 f the private sector and civil society\, including academic institutions i
