 cturing and Environmental Pollution (SMEP) programme plastics upcycling pr
 oject in Nepal ‘Plastic Upcycling for Housing and the Policy Opportuniti
 es in the Himalayas’\, from which concrete experiences and results will 
 be discussed. UNCTAD will also present the latest research being done on p
 lastics recycling\, alternatives and non-plastics substitutes.Simon Fraser
  University will present\, among other things\, recent research carried ou
 t by Professor Hira\, based on empirical research from the SMEP project in
  Nepal\, ‘Dirty\, Difficult and Dangerous: Establishing a Plastics Waste
