DESCRIPTION:As part of the technical assistance project focused on attracti
 ng finance and investment for Africa’s energy transition\, UN Trade and 
 Development\, through its Investment Promotion and Facilitation Programme\
 , is organizing a stakeholders’ meeting in Lilongwe\, on 24 September 20
 24. This collaborative effort with the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre 
 (MITC) aims to identify key challenges and opportunities for international
  investment to support Malawi’s energy transition plans. The outcomes of
  this meeting will contribute to the development of a strategy that promot
 es and facilitates international finance and investment in sustainable ene
 rgy related projects.The Development Account “Attracting finance and inv
 estment for the energy transition in Africa” targets five countries—Et
 hiopia\, Malawi\, Namibia\, Seychelles\, and Tanzania. The goal is to enha
 nce their capacity to promote and facilitate international finance and inv
 estments in projects that accelerate the energy transition\, improving acc
