 policy ideas on how to boost the contribution of carbon market participati
 on to the sustainable development of the least developed countries.Economi
 c Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean 2024: Low-growth Trap\, Climat
 e Change and Employment TrendsThe Trade and Development Board will be intr
 oduced to the Economic Survey of Latin America and the Caribbean 2024: Low
 -growth Trap\, Climate Change and Employment Trends prepared by the Econom
 ic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.The results of the econo
 mic survey reveal weaker job creation\, particularly in the formal sector\
 , with young people\, women\, older persons\, migrants and rural dwellers 
 among the most likely to be informal workers.Preparatory process for the s
 ixteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development
 Under the agenda item\, the secretariat will bring to the attention of mem
 ber States for their consideration elements in connection with the prepara
 tory process for the sixteenth session of the United Nations Conference on
  Trade and Development.ParticipationThe session is open to all member Stat
 es of Trade and Development Board.Other participants (i.e. representatives
  of members of UNCTAD that are not members of the Board\, and representati
 ves of specialized agencies\, non-governmental organizations and intergove
 rnmental bodies wishing to attend as observers) are also eligible to parti
 cipate in the session as observers and should register online using the li
 nk provided.RegistrationRegistration should be completed online and is req
 uired in order to be included in the list of participants.LogisticsThe ses
 sion will be held with physical participation in room XVII of the Palais d
 es Nations. Those who cannot attend the meeting in person will be able to 
 listen to the live audio stream in the six official languages of the Unite
 d Nations.The link to listen live will be sent to registered participants\
