DESCRIPTION:The Executive Workshop on Negotiating and Drafting Rules of Ori
 gin (RoO) for Least Developed Countries (LDCs) is a 2.5-days intensive eve
 nt aimed at equipping Geneva WTO LDC delegates with the necessary skills a
 nd knowledge to effectively engage in discussions surrounding RoO in inter
 national trade. Hosted by UNCTAD/EUI\, this workshop will focus on enhanci
 ng understanding of RoO and their implications for trade facilitation and 
 economic development\, particularly in the context of the upcoming Committ
 ee on Rules of Origin meeting scheduled for 21-22 November 2024.Key Topics
 :Overview of the current landscape of Rules of Origin and their impact on 
 trade preferences for LDCsAnalysis of recent developments in RoO as discus
 sed in the General Council and the implications for LDCsExamination of bes
 t practices and strategies for effective negotiation and implementation of
  RoOInsights from recent UNCTAD studies on RoO practices in different regi
