DESCRIPTION:The 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Conventi
 on on Climate Change (COP29) took place in Baku\, Azerbaijan\, from 11 Nov
 ember to the early hours of 24 November 2024.Progress was achieved in seve
 ral critical areas\, paving the way for further advancements at COP30 in B
 razil. This event will discuss key takeaways\, with particular attention t
 o development considerations\, and how these outcomes can be built upon in
  2025 and beyond.The event will consist of three panels: the first two foc
 using on relevant outcomes at COP29\, namely around climate finance\, trad
 e and investment\; while the final panel will reflect on 2025’s key mome
 nts and COP30. More information on the final agenda will be shared soon on
  this page.ObjectiveThe meeting is intended to provide delegates of Member
  States\, international organizations and UNCTAD staff members with an ove
 rall understanding of the results of COP29 and to indicate priority areas
