DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the first English edition of the cours
 e on “The Use of Blockchain in Trade Facilitation” in 2024\, UNCTAD\, 
 with support from the UN regional commissions for Africa (ECA)\, Europe (E
 CE)\, Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)\, Asia and the Pacific (ESCA
 P) and Western Asia (ESCWA)\, will host online the opening ceremony of the
  second english edition of this course on 11 February 2025\, from 13:00 to
  15:00 (CET). This course explores the concept of blockchain and raises a
 wareness on the possibilities and obstacles associated with using such tec
 hnology in trade facilitation. Additionally\, it provides a practical unde
 rstanding for decision-makers and practitioners about the advantages\, con
 ditions and adequate environment needed to ensure the successful implement
 ation of blockchain technology. The event is open to all stakeholders who
  have previously registered for the course. Registrations can be done on T

 t\, there will be an introduction to the course methodology\, followed by 
 the release and presentation of the first module\, &quot\;Understanding th
