  Readiness Assessment

DESCRIPTION:The E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UN Trade and Devel
 opment (UNCTAD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ind
 onesia are organizing a national multi-stakeholder kick-off meeting for th
 e eTrade Readiness Assessment of Indonesia on 13 February 2024. The online
  kick-off meeting will bring together a broad range of stakeholders who wi
 ll be involved throughout the project. It will provide an opportunity to p
 resent the project objectives and timelines\, engage in discussions with s
 takeholders on each thematic area of the assessment\, as well as prepare t
 he ground for further bilateral meetings and subsequent in-person multi-st
 akeholder consultations during the year. The eTrade Readiness Assessment 
 (eT Ready) will review Indonesia’s e-commerce ecosystem\, with a view to
  identifying policy recommendations for strengthening innovation\, increas
 ing global competitiveness\, and creating a robust and inclusive digital e
 conomy. The eT Ready will focus on the following policy areas: e-commerce
  and digital trade policy framework\, technologies adoption\, SMEs’ perf
 ormance on e-commerce and digital trade\, legal and regulatory frameworks\
 , digital payment systems and financial inclusion and the environmental im
 pact of e-commerce and digital trade. The assessment will be the eleventh
  eT Ready in Asia and the fourth in Southeast Asia following the ones in C
 ambodia\, Lao PDR and Myanmar. Funding is provided by the E-commerce and D
 igital Economy Programme Core Donors (Australia\, Germany\, Switzerland\,
