DESCRIPTION:The aim is to review and discuss the Sustainable Smart Port Ass
 essment (SSP) report of Port Louis. The intended outcome is to equip stake
 holders with a clear roadmap for advancing the port’s energy transition 
 and building long-term capacity for sustainable port development.UNCTAD co
 nducted the assessment of Port Louis’ SSP performance by applying a comp
 rehensive methodology that examines the port’s capacity to integrate ren
 ewable energy and improve energy efficiency. Developed by UNCTAD\, this me
 thodology also identifies the main enablers and barriers—political\, eco
 nomic\, social\, and technological—that influence the port’s ability t
 o become more sustainable and smarter.Participants will include key stakeh
 olders such as the Mauritius Ports Authority (MPA)\, Cargo Handling Corpor
 ation Limited (CHCL)\, Central Electricity Board (CEB)\, Mauritius Renewab
 le Energy Agency (MARENA)\, Ministry of Finance and shipping companies.The
 y will review and discuss the main findings and strategic recommendations 
 set out in the Assessment report. They are also expected to discuss the pr
 oposed action plan and agree on the next steps required to implement targe
 ted capacity-building activities. These activities are designed to support
  Port Louis in achieving key priorities identified in its SSP Assessment r
 eport.Ultimately\, participants are expected to discuss an action plan tha
 t will guide the implementation of key priority actions.&lt\;p&gt\;The aim
