DESCRIPTION:The working group aims to advance cooperation on measuring elec
 tronic commerce (e- commerce) and the digital economy and to enhance the a
 vailability\, quality\, comparability\, usability and relevance of statist
 ics concerning e-commerce and the digital economy\, with a view to support
 ing evidence-based policymaking\, particularly in developing countries.In 
 May 2025\, the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on E-commerce and the Di
 gital Economy at its 8th session\, agreed on the following topics for the 
 6th meeting of the working group:Progress in measuring e-commerce and the 
 digital economy by relevant international organizations.Measuring the valu
 e of e-commerce.Updating the core indicators on information and communicat
 ions technology use by businesses and on the information and communication
 s technology sector.Developing capacities in measuring e-commerce and the 
 digital economy.ParticipationThis meeting is open to all member States of 
 UNCTAD.Member State representatives wishing to attend the meeting should h
 ave expertise in producing relevant official statistics (for example from 
 national statistical offices or government ministries).International organ
 izations involved in measuring e-commerce and the digital economy\; nation
 al\, regional and international networks researching the digital economy\;
  and specialists from civil society\, the private sector and academia\, as
  appropriate\, may also participate\, and are requested to inform the secr
 etariat of the names of their representatives by 25 October 2025.Registrat
 ionOnline registration is mandatory for all those wishing to attend the me
 eting and is required in order to be included in the list of participants.
 Logistics The meeting will be held with physical participation in room XV
 I of the Palais des Nations. Those who cannot attend the meeting in person
  will be able to listen to the live audio stream in the six official langu
 ages of the United Nations. The link to listen live will be sent to regist
 ered participants\, at the email address used for registration\, one day i
