 ies of the French-speaking network of the TrainForTrade Port Management Pr
 ogramme (PMP)\, the trainees of the 1st cycle\, 25 port managers (10 women
 \, 40%)\, of the port community of Kribi are starting the delivery of the 
 course on Modern Port Management (240 hours) from October 2024 to mid 2026
 . The trainees will draft theses consisting of case studies concerning a r
 eal problem and providing concrete recommendations to improve the performa
 nce of the port community of Kribi\, Cameroon.DescriptionThe UNCTAD TrainF
 orTrade Port Management Programme (PMP) supports port communities in devel
 oping countries in delivering more efficient and competitive port manageme
 nt in the future. In order to increase trade flows and foster economic dev
 elopment\, the programme creates port networks bringing together public\, 
 private and international entities. The aim is to share knowledge and expe
 rtise between port operators and strengthen talent management and human re
 sources development in port communities.The PMP’s main objectivesStrengt
 hen institutional capacity and management efficiency of ports and related 
 agencies.Promote port community participation and public-private partnersh
 ips.Enhance the competitiveness of ports and the quality of their services
