DESCRIPTION:Senegal was identified as pre-eligible for graduation at the 20
 21 Triennial Review of the LDC Category by the Committee for Development P
 olicy. According to the mandate given to it by the United Nations General 
 Assembly Resolution 59/209 of 20 December 2004\, UNCTAD thereafter launche
 d the process of preparation of Senegal’s Vulnerability Profile.Followin
 g the completion of the Vulnerability Profile\, UNCTAD\, in coordination w
 ith Direction Générale de la Planification et des Politiques Économique
 s of Senegal’s Ministry of Economy\, Planning and Cooperation will host 
 a two-day Industrial Policy Training Workshop in Dakar. The workshop is pa
 rt of UNCTAD’s support to Senegal on graduation with momentum.The worksh
 op aims to help enhance Senegal’s policy capacity to use industrial poli
 cy more effectively to graduate with momentum. Workshop thematic sessions 
 will cover: (i) Introduction to industrial policy\; (ii) The role of the S
 tate in industrial policy\; (iii) Industrial policy instruments\; (iv) Ind
 ustrial modernization and export diversification\; and (vi) Industrial upg
 rading within global value chains.The workshop targets government official
 s directly concerned with the design\, implementation and monitoring of in
 dustrial policy in the Government of Senegal. &lt\;p&gt\;Senegal was iden
 tified as pre-eligible for graduation at the 2021 Triennial Review of the 
 LDC Category by the Committee for Development Policy. According to the man
