DESCRIPTION:The UNCTAD project “Science\, Technology and Innovation Parks
  for sustainable development: building expertise in policy and practice in
  selected Asian and African countries”\, funded by the UN 2030 Agenda Su
 b-Fund\, aims to strengthen the policy and operational capacities of STI p
 arks in selected countries. The project enables policymakers and practitio
 ners to learn from successful international experiences\, where STI parks 
 have played a key role in technological and industrial development.A key o
 utcome of this initiative is the creation of a network of STI park experts
  and practitioners to promote knowledge exchange\, policy learning and int
 ernational cooperation. The network experts will be invited to join the UN
 CTAD’s Science\, Technology and Innovation Policy Network (STIxNet)\, th
 ereby expanding the pool of UNCTAD’s wider community of experts and poli
 cymakers working on innovation for development.The virtual pre-launch will
  serve to establish the STI park expert network. It will bring together le
 ading experts and country focal points engaged in the project to brainstor
 m how to make this network function as expected by the project.  Particip
