DESCRIPTION:BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVEThe workshop aims to present and valida
 te the trade policies and transport and logistics measures identified that
  are needed to address food security challenges in Morocco. The intended o
 utcome is to support policymakers in strengthening sustainable and resilie
 nt food supply chains.UNCTAD conducted the national assessment in Morocco 
 using a two-pillar approach\, examining (1) trade policies and (2) transpo
 rt and logistics measures. This assessment reviews the current state of pl
 ay of food trade as well as food transport and logistics systems. It also 
 identifies existing needs and gaps\, and provides context-specific recomme
 ndations and solutions to enhance the country’s food security response.G
 overnment officials\, relevant institutions and private sector representat
 ives will review and discuss the main findings and strategic recommendatio
 ns of both assessment reports. They are also expected to agree on the next
  steps towards implementing targeted capacity-building activities.&lt\;p&g
