DESCRIPTION:The workshop aims to present and discuss the Sustainable Smart 
 Port (SSP) Assessment report of the Port of Tema. The intended outcome is 
 to endorse the report’s findings and recommendations that will support a
 nd advance the port’s energy transition and strengthen long-term capacit
 y for sustainable smart port development.UNCTAD conducted the assessment o
 f Port of Tema’s SSP performance by applying a comprehensive methodology
  that examines the port’s capacity to integrate renewable energy and imp
 rove energy efficiency. Developed by UNCTAD\, this methodology also identi
 fies the main enablers and barriers - policy economic\, social\, and techn
 ological - that influence the port’s ability to become more sustainable 
 and smarter.Port stakeholders\, government officials and other private sec
 tor and civil society representatives will review and discuss the main fin
 dings and strategic recommendations of the Assessment report. They are als
 o expected to agree on priority actions and next steps towards implementin
 g key recommendations and actions and advance the SSP status of Port of Te
