 )\, the consultations at the ninth session of the Intergovernmental Group 
 of Experts on Consumer Protection Law and Policy will focus on the followi
 ng substantive topics:Report on the implementation of the United Nations g
 uidelines for consumer protection by member States and relevant stakeholde
 rs.Latest developments in legal and institutional frameworks: UNCTAD world
  consumer protection map.Launch of the United Nations principles for consu
 mer productsEnforcement of consumer protection law in global markets\, inc
 luding digital tools and cross-border considerations.Round table on innova
 tion in consumer information and education\, including promoting sustainab
 le consumption.Voluntary peer review of consumer protection law and policy
 :Review of capacity-building in and technical assistance on consumer prote
 ction law andWritten contributionsTo facilitate the deliberations and the 
 informal exchange of experiences and best practices on the topics to be di
 scussed\, member States and observers are requested to submit written cont
 ributions to the UNCTAD secretariat by Friday\, 5 June 2026.ParticipationT
 his meeting is open to all member States of UNCTAD. Other organizations\, 
 including specialized agencies\, intergovernmental bodies and non-governme
 ntal organizations in the general category\, may participate as observers.
 RegistrationOnline registration is mandatory for all those wishing to atte
 nd the meeting and is required for inclusion in the list of participants.L
 ogisticsThe session will be held with in-person participation in the Counc
 il Chamber of the Palais des Nations. Those who cannot attend the meeting 
 in person will be able to listen to the live audio stream.The link to list
