DESCRIPTION:The E-Commerce and Digital Economy Branch of UN Trade and Devel
 opment (UNCTAD) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ind
 onesia are organizing the launch of the Indonesia eTrade Readiness Assessm
 ent (eT Ready) on 12 February 2026. The event will serve to disseminate th
 e findings and recommendations regarding e-commerce and digital trade in I
 ndonesia to key stakeholders\, including the public and private sectors\, 
 civil society\, academia\, as well as UN and development partners. Followi
 ng the launch\, a dedicated roundtable with development partners will init
 iate discussions on implementing the assessment’s recommendations. All a
 ctivities will take place in Jakarta with in-person and online participati
 on modalities.The eTrade Readiness Assessment reviews Indonesia’s e-comm
 erce and digital trade ecosystem to identify policy recommendations to str
 engthen innovation\, increase global competitiveness\, and create a robust
  and inclusive digital economy. The report focuses on the following policy
  areas: e-commerce and digital trade policy framework\, technologies adopt
 ion\, SMEs’ performance on e-commerce and digital trade\, legal and regu
 latory frameworks\, as well as digital payment systems and financial inclu
 sion. The assessment is the 41st undertaken by UNCTAD globally and the fo
 urth in Southeast Asia\, following those in Cambodia\, Lao PDR and Myanmar
 . Funding is provided by the E-commerce and Digital Economy Programme Core
  Donors (Australia\, Germany\, Switzerland\, Sweden and the Kingdom of the
