DESCRIPTION:High-quality and comparable reporting by the public and private
  sectors plays an important role in delivering on the 2030 Agenda for Sust
 ainable Development. The Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts has pl
 ayed a pivotal role towards the harmonization of sustainability reporting 
 frameworks and standards.The Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts al
 so exerted extensive efforts towards meeting the accounting and financial 
 reporting needs of microenterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises
 \, which are widely recognized for the important contributions they make t
 o sustainable development.The substantive agenda items for the 43rd sessio
 n are as follows:  Accounting and financial reporting needs of micro\, sm
 all and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).  Connectivity between financial
  and sustainability reporting.Additional topics\, including human capital 
 and biodiversity considerations in sustainability reporting will be consid
 ered under other business.The 43rd session will be preceded by a full day 
 session on building regulatory\, institutional and human capacities for im
 plementation of globally recognized sustainability reporting requirements.
 ParticipationThis meeting is open to all member States of UNCTAD. Other or
 ganizations\, including specialized agencies\, intergovernmental bodies an
 d non-governmental organizations in the general category\, may participate
  as observers.RegistrationOnline registration is mandatory for all those w
 ishing to attend the meeting and is required for inclusion in the list of
