 rogramme (PMP) has trained 3054 port managers from 15 countries in 91 cycl
 es with 1930 certified participants. And produce 1388 case studies availab
 le in the library of the programme. In 2026\, 182 port managers are part o
 f the yearly cycle with a representation of 32.4% women in the programme.D
 escriptionThe UNCTAD TrainForTrade Port Management Programme (PMP) support
 s port communities in developing countries in delivering more efficient an
 d competitive port management in the future. In order to increase trade fl
 ows and foster economic development\, the programme creates port networks 
 bringing together public\, private and international entities. The aim is 
 to share knowledge and expertise between port operators and strengthen tal
 ent management and human resources development in port communities.The PMP
 ’s main objectivesStrengthen institutional capacity and management effic
 iency of ports and related agencies.Promote port community participation a
 nd public-private partnerships.Enhance the competitiveness of ports and th
