DESCRIPTION:The workshop aims to present and validate the trade policies an
 d sustainable food supply chains measures identified that are needed to ad
 dress food security challenges in Barbados. The intended outcome is to sup
 port policymakers in strengthening sustainable and resilient food supply c
 hains.UNCTAD conducted a national assessment in Barbados to analyze the st
 ate of food security\, domestic agricultural production\, agri-food trade\
 , and the policy environment influencing supply chain resilience. It also 
 identifies existing needs and gaps and provides context-specific recommend
 ations and solutions to enhance the country’s food security response.Par
 ticipants from government bodies\, regional and international organization
 s\, industry and business associations\, civil society and the private sec
 tor will review and discuss the main findings and strategic recommendation
 s of the assessment work. They are also expected to exchange experiences a
 nd agree on concrete next steps to support the implementation of targeted 
 capacity-building activities and follow-up actions.&lt\;p&gt\;The workshop
