 anized a two-day advanced executive training to strengthen expertise in th
 e negotiation\, implementation\, and compliance of rules of origin (RoO).T
 he training brought together senior customs officials and trade experts to
  deepen their technical understanding of complex origin provisions and enh
 ance their capacity to effectively implement and negotiate trade agreement
 s.Key focus areasThe programme combined technical presentations and practi
 cal exchanges\, covering:Advanced methodologies for ad valorem calculation
 s (including net cost methods)\;Cumulation provisions under major FTAs suc
 h as RCEP\, AANZFTA and CPTPP\;Treatment of remanufactured and recycled go
 ods and emerging “green origin” issues\;Origin determination in comple
 x sectors\, including automotive products\;Documentary requirements and di
 rect consignment\, including split consignments\;Practical experiences fro
 m customs administrations and the private sector.Interactive componentThe 
 training placed strong emphasis on practical learning through drafting and
  negotiation exercises\, allowing participants to apply concepts\, refine 
 technical language\, and strengthen negotiation readiness with expert feed
 back.ParticipantsThe event targeted senior officials and technical experts
  involved in customs administration\, trade policy\, and the implementatio
 n of trade agreements.PartnersThe training was jointly delivered by UNCTAD
