DESCRIPTION:The Statistical and Technical Advisory Group on the Productive 
 Capacities Index (PCI) (STAG) supports the efforts of the High-level Advis
 ory Board on the PCI (HLAB) and UN Trade and Development in its work on pr
 oductive capacities\, including periodically updating or revising the PCI\
 , and contributes to its methodological soundness and analysis at statisti
 cal and academic fora.The fourth meeting of the STAG will be an opportunit
 y to deliberate on concrete options concerning the key issues raised by th
 e High-level Advisory Board (HLAB) on the PCI’s applicability in providi
 ng critical input to the National Productive Capacities Gap Assessments an
 d in shaping the formulation and implementation of Holistic Productive Cap
 acities Development Programmes for countries to advance in achieving struc
 tural economic transformation\, as well as in working towards their own na
 tional development targets.This fourth meeting will also place particular 
 emphasis on enhancing the quality of the PCI for small island developing S
 tates (SIDS) through the development of a SIDS Satellite PCI tailored to t
 heir unique development challenges.&lt\;p&gt\;The Statistical and Technica
